3rd Doctoral Student Colloquium
We are pleased to announce the 3rd NIE doctoral student colloquium . The colloquium is aimed at providing PhD students working in the area of Industrial Economics with a chance to showcase their research at an early stage of their career in a relatively informal environment. Each presentation will be followed by a discussion led by a peer doctoral student.
The NIE Colloquium is free of charge and will take place Friday 28 June 2013, 10-4pm, at Nottingham University Business School, Economics and Finance Division, The University of Nottingham.
The deadline for abstract is Wednesday 31 May 2013 . Abstracts should be submitted via email to the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org . The submission should clearly indicate whether the work should be considered for a Poster session or for a standard session.
There is no charge for attending the conference. However, for catering purposes the deadline for registration will be the Friday 14 June 2013.
The paper to be presented should be submitted by Friday 14 June 2013. This could be a working draft, a complete paper or a single chapter from their PhD thesis.
Students at an early stage of their PhD may wish to present their work at a poster session rather than at a standard session. If a student wishes to submit for the poster session, this should be clearly indicated when submitting the abstract.
BIS best paper award of the Royal Statistical Society
The best paper award of the Business and Industrial Section of the Royal Statistical Society will be given for the best contribution to the use and/or advancement of statistical (and econometric) methods to the analysis of industrial economic issues.
